HCUS Launches New Purchasing Website

The new Harris County Purchasing Department website went live Oct. 4 with the assistance of the Harris County Universal Services SharePoint Services team.

The website is easier for users to navigate, and it includes more information, according to Harris County Purchasing Agent DeWight Dopslauf. The goal was to help vendors find the forms they needed and receive the answers to their questions quickly.

"Now it's definitely easier for vendors to register with the county, submit their bids/proposals and do business with Harris County in general," Dopslauf said. "In addition to being more functional and helpful, the website is also more modern. I'm very pleased with the whole site and the HCUS team that helped develop my vision."

The HCPD website was created by the following HCUS SharePoint Services team members: Owais Badat, web application developer; Therese Baker, enterprise business systems analyst; Scott Jorgensen, Sharepoint Services lead; and Trent Lawson, web designer.

Go to Purchasing.HarrisCountyTX.gov to view the new site.
