The event featured remarks from Executive Director Sindhu Menon and guest speaker Harris County Precinct 2 Commissioner Adrian Garcia, addressing more than 300 HCUS employees.
“We have worked very hard, and it is important that we recognize the efforts of everyone in this room,” stated Menon. “We are one Universal Services team regardless of if it’s Fleet, Radio, 311, Desktop Support, Applications, Cybersecurity, or any other division. The departments we serve look to us for solutions, and I can say that we have greatly improved as a service department while navigating some big changes and a transforming digital landscape.”
Garcia noted his interactions with the department dating back to his tenure has Harris County Sheriff, and participated in the awards portion of the event, sharing his congratulations to the five ELITE Award recipients.
